Did you know turnip is so good for flu? turnip is hot and dry, it acts like an anti-biotic, and scrapes the phlegm and undigested mucus out of the lungs.
Imagine your lungs are a pot full of phlegm and undigested mucus. Every time that you eat turnip it is like kindling a big fire underneath this pot! This fire burns the mucus and cleanses your lungs and respiratory system!
Nevertheless many people hate the taste and smell of it! How can you make it delicious!?
Chop 2 turnips and 2 apples in small pieces. Pour some olive oil in a pan and add ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder + ¼ teaspoon rose powder (or coriander powder) + 2 pinches saffron (or nutmeg) to it. Heat the spices in the oil for 1-2 minutes; then add the turnips and apples to them. Add 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup and some fresh lemon or lime to the pan. Put the lid on and let the ingredients cook slowly.After the turnip/apple mix is cooked pour some honey on it and eat it 2-3 daily when you are suffering from allergy or flu!
Chew on a clove bud or a cardamom pod like a gum and swallow it at the end!
Drink a cup of flu & allergy tea every hour
Gargle with one of the following mixture frequently during the day:
*1cup warm water + ½ teaspoon rock salt + 2 pinches turmeric + 1pinch black pepper + 1pinch cinnamon
*1/2 cup warm water + 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar.
*Fenugreek seed tea.
*Room temperature beer
