Worsened Bloating in Autumn

نفخ و آروغ

By Setareh Kiumarsi

Autumn is here, and the cold winds are stirring things up… This wind penetrates both body and mind, increases the air element in our system, and intensifies issues like bloating, gastritis, belching, and constipation.

What can we do about this bloating?

Self-care & body massage
Make it a habit—morning and night—to oil around your navel, over your abdomen, sides, and lower back with a body oil suitable to your constitution (see the post on morning massage). Then wrap a warm, light scarf (preferably cashmere if possible) around your belly and lower back. This helps with digestion and significantly reduces bloating.

What else?
Drink anti-bloating herbal teas like fennel tea or digestive tea throughout the day (5–6 times).

Digestive buttermilk works wonders for bloating! Have a glass of digestive buttermilk with your lunch and dinner.

Be full of health…
