Feeling weighed down by sadness?
Treat yourself today to one of these comforting herbal infusions.
Ananda Uplifting Tea
Combine the following whole herbs (not powdered) in a large container, using a small glass as your measuring unit:
1 part lemon balm
1 part cinnamon sticks (broken into pieces)
1 part rosemary
½ part cardamom pods
½ part dried rose petals
Each time you want to brew a cup, add 1–2 teaspoons of this herbal blend to your cup, pour boiling water over it, and add a pinch of saffron. Let it steep for a few minutes.
Once brewed, add a few drops of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of honey.
(Note: this tea may slightly raise blood pressure.)
Setareh’s Comfort Herbal Tea
Fill a cup with boiling water and add the following spices:
A pinch of saffron
A pinch of cardamom
A pinch of cinnamon
A pinch of dried rose petals
A pinch of vanilla
Now chop two pistachios and add them to the cup along with 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of orange blossom water. Stir well.
