Oral Care

مراقبت از دهان

After waking up, take care of your mouth…

But how…?

When you wake up in the morning, does your mouth taste bad or smell unpleasant? Why does that happen?

Because part of the toxins that built up in your digestive system overnight—often from overeating or poor food choices—accumulate on your tongue. Basically, your mouth becomes filled with foul-smelling bacteria.
So how can we get rid of them?

Step one: Using a tongue scraper (or even a tablespoon), gently and thoroughly scrape the coating off your tongue 7 to 14 times.

Next, to get rid of the bacteria stuck in other areas of your mouth, practice oil pulling with sesame oil or a blend of equal parts coconut oil and sweet almond oil.
How?

Swish 1–2 tablespoons of oil around your mouth thoroughly, then spit it out.
Be careful not to swallow or gargle it.

This process pulls the toxins and bacteria out of your mouth and traps them in the oil, which you then spit out.
It has more benefits. The tiny pores and cracks in your teeth get filled in, which helps delay tooth decay and protects your beautiful smile.

In the final step, rinse and gargle with salt water or clove tea.

Make a little pact with yourself. Each week, add one small, effective, healing Ayurvedic habit into your life. How does that sound?

Be full of health.
