Low Blood Pressure

واجراسانا

Vajrasana – Kapalabhati

Do you often experience low blood pressure?

According to Ayurveda, Vata dosha imbalance plays a major role in causing cold hands and feet. When the body is filled with excess coldness, it feels as if a cold wind is constantly flowing through your energy channels. The warm blood flow decreases, the extremities get cold, your energy drops, and your blood pressure falls.

 What to Do?

There is a magical pose called Vajrasana — literally meaning “Thunderbolt Pose.” It might look simple, like sitting on your heels, but it activates several important marma points in the lower body:

واجراسانا

Sphij, Indra Basta (posterior), and Gulpa (medial).

When these points are stimulated:

* Blood circulation throughout the body increases.

* Intestinal peristalsis improves and digestion becomes easier.

* Accumulated toxins in the colon move downward.

* Trapped air in the pelvis is released, reducing bloating.

* Menstrual cycles become more regular.

* Kidney function improves.

* The Muladhara Chakra (Root Chakra) becomes balanced and energized.

 Kapalabhati (Breath of Fire)

Practicing Kapalabhati Pranayama increases the fire element (Agni) and enhances blood circulation.

However, it is a strong breathing technique — those with high blood pressure, chronic headaches, hyperthyroidism, severe asthma, or high irritability should practice with caution or under supervision.

 Massage and Oil Therapy

Massaging your body with sweet almond oil, black seed oil, or sesame oil improves blood circulation under the skin and warms the body.

Before bed, massage the soles of your feet and your navel area with a few drops of oil.

This helps warm the body, deepen sleep, calm Vata dosha, and restore balance.

Natural Remedy for Low Blood Pressure

Before bed:

Soak a handful of raisins with a pinch of salt and half a teaspoon of rosemary (powder or leaves) in a cup of hot water overnight.

In the morning, eat the soaked raisins and drink the water on an empty stomach.

Avoid eating anything for 30 minutes afterward.
