Home Remedies

Do you experience occasional heart palpitations?

Reduce consumption of the following foods:
Spicy spices, ginger, raw garlic and onions, caffeine (coffee, instant coffee, black tea, green tea, etc.), alcohol, marijuana, legume-heavy foods (like lentil rice, lentil soup, stews with chickpeas and beans, hummus, falafel, etc.), mint (and products containing mint or mint extract), raw apples and pears, and cold raw vegetables (like cauliflower, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, lettuce, celery, cilantro, etc.).

Keeping your body hydrated and maintaining electrolyte balance is very effective in reducing heart palpitations… Try drinking a glass of warm water with a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch of salt every hour.

What else?

During episodes of palpitations, try one or two of the following home remedies:

A glass of digestive lassi:
Mix ¼ cup yogurt with a little boiling water and whisk until smooth. Then add ¾ cup boiling water, ½ teaspoon ground fennel, and a pinch (about ⅛ tsp) of salt.

Orange drink:
½ cup orange juice + ½ cup hot water + 1 teaspoon honey + 1 teaspoon grape molasses + a pinch of cardamom

Every hour, drink a cup of herbal tea made from lemon verbena, borage flowers, and valerian root (all in equal parts).

Wishing you vibrant health.
