Want to go on a cleansing diet? Have you read the previous posts about cleansing with vegetables, kitchari, or warm water? How about trying a one-day cleanse with vegetable juice?
Let’s get into the one-day vegetable juice cleanse.
This is considered a mild cleansing diet and is safe for most people (except those suffering from very severe or chronic conditions). What kinds of imbalances can it help with?
Excess weight, high cholesterol, thick blood, heaviness and fatigue in the body, constipation, chronic fatigue, loss of appetite, and more.
How to follow it:
Wake up around 6 a.m. and on an empty stomach, drink a glass of warm water with a few drops of lime juice, a pinch of salt, and a teaspoon of honey (if you have high blood pressure, use pink Himalayan salt instead).
After 30–45 minutes, prepare a detox vegetable juice for breakfast:
Blend 1 carrot, 1 small cucumber with peel, and a handful of parsley (or basil or spinach) with 1 cup of warm water. Add 1–2 teaspoons of lime juice, 2–3 teaspoons of honey, 1/2 teaspoon ground fennel, and 1–2 pinches of salt. Mix well and enjoy this for breakfast.
Starting two hours after breakfast, drink a cup of digestive tea every hour.
For your mid-morning snack, drink a cup of carrot/apple juice (with a 3:1 ratio of carrot to apple).
Between 12 and 1 p.m., drink a glass of detox vegetable juice for lunch.
Starting two hours after lunch, again drink a cup of digestive tea every hour.
For your afternoon snack, drink another glass of carrot/apple juice (3:1 ratio of carrot to apple).
Between 6 and 7 p.m., drink a glass of detox vegetable juice for dinner.
Any time during the day when hunger becomes overwhelming, take 5–10 soaked and peeled almonds, sprinkle them with a little honey and cardamom powder, and eat them.
If you feel lighter and better after this cleanse, try doing it once a week.
Be full of health.
